The steps into creating depth of field was you need a subject, background, and a range from where you need to take a picture. another important step into creating depth of field is your F-Stop, you must keep your F-stop low as 3.5 to create that blurry background while only focusing on your subject. I changed my ISO till I got a good exposure then came my shutter speed that will help with the timing of how light is let in. The lower the Iso is the less sensitive it is to light. The faster the shutter speed is, the less time it will be exposed to light. You create your settings depending where you're taking the photo from. The way I created the first photo was setting my subject a couple feet away from the background, I then set my ISO at 200 to get proper exposure since I was under a building where the sun was being blocked from, I then adjusted my focal length to focus my picture and that's how I created depth of field.

The composition rule i selected was rule of thirds. I selected this because i think that the frame on how the photos come out is a good way to put pictures. I'm still struggling with trying not to move the camera a lot.
This photo is one of my favorites because the sun was setting in at the time and the street lights came on. I like taking photos that have a deep sunset look along with some palm trees in front. The street lights made the photo have a late afternoon theme and that's one of the other reasons why I chose this photo. I chose this photo because the palm trees and sunset made the photo have a late summer afternoon vibe. This photo is also unique to me because I took the photo in my neighborhood street. I also like how the sunset gloom has a reflection on the car windows. |
